Instant-Round-Robin Voting (IRRV) is a voting system which selects a single winner from ranked ballots and, if necessary, uses approval ballots as a tiebreaker. IRRV passes the Condorcet Criterion, and is by definition a Condorcet method.

IRRV is very similar to Condorcet//Approval methods, with the key difference being that it uses a separate Approval voting ballot for tiebreaking purposes.

IRRV is also sometimes used as a general term for Condorcet methods.

IRRV procedure

The procedure for calculating IRRV as conceived sometime before 2013 is probably lost with a mailing list that Toby Nixon started in 2005.
