(I'm still not sure if "w:activism" or "w:advocacy" is more appropriate)
Line 12:

Well "activism" is "trying to pass legislation" and "advocacy" is "trying to persuade someone that your favorite system is great". I'd be fine with them merging but I'm not sure which is more general. — Psephomancy (talk) 01:56, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

:I suppose "advocacy" is more general, but I suspect a lot of folks who come to this website are looking for ways to change policy. If it's government, then "change policy" means "pass legislation", but if it's a private group or non-profit organization (e.g. Debian, Wikimedia, or a home-owners' association or something), is it "activism" or "advocacy"? -- RobLa (talk) 04:13, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
