: It's a tough call for me, personally. I like having images to look at, and I also think it's hard to imitate that green circle and green checkmarks I added in the image in a text format. The power of an image is that it can be shared on its own; I think https://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/unifiedprimary/pages/227/features/original/How_Does_STAR_Work_.svg?1560250944 is a great example of something which, while not strictly needing to be put in image form, is great. But I can work with you and other editors if you guys want to discuss making some kind of standard or rule around these things. Edit: A pretty good alternative reason is that the image can propagate in Google Images. ::: Part of the rationale for having it as an image and not text is to maybe make it easier for readers to optionally read it, because it is in the side of the article and not the main part (it is on the right side and is obviously an explainer image, so one need not look at it if they just want to read the article). If you guys reaaaally want to have the image turned into text, I can do that. But can you give me some ideas on making a good "finding the Condorcet winner" image, one that could stay in the article?
