Point-summing methods

Point-summing methods refer to a class of methods that assign a certain number of points to each candidate, based on each ballot. Then, the candidate with the highest number of points is elected. For example:

The main point-summing methods are the weighted positional methods along with score voting (and some minor variants).

Only point-summing methods can satisfy both consistency and neutrality.
