BLPs on electowiki?
Given how difficult and fraught it is for Wikipedia to have biographies of living people (BLPs), I don't think electowiki should have BLPs either. See w:WP:BLP for English Wikipedia's policy.

I bring this up here because I'm especially reluctant to have a BLP for anyone who has been (at one point) a frequent poster on the Election-methods mailing list, as Warren Smith has been. To be clear, I don't think we should have pages for Allan Gibbard or Mark Satterthwaite either, or for Rob Lanphier either. Rather, pages about living persons on Electowiki should either be user pages (e.g. Rob Lanphier) or stub articles that point to the Wikipedia articles.

Not to single Warren out; the creation of this page was just the catalyst for thinking about this. -- RobLa (talk) 05:13, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
