History
In 2005, User:RobLa thought that web chat was the future. And it was. It just wasn't the present in 2005.
In 2020, RobLa started a Discord server which would be neutral-ish about the various electoral-reform organizations (i.e. it would be EPOV. However, he agreed with folks at the Center for Election Science for several years not to promote it, so as not to compete against their Discord server. Years later, RobLa saw that members and allies with active participants on the Election-methods mailing list may not be likely to want to be second-class citizens on that server, so he started promoting the Electorama Discord more broadly, especially to Condorcet method activists.
