Talk:2012 Occupy Wall Street polls
After the twelfth elimination round the three remaining options were the Green Party (35.6%), the Democratic Party (34.13%) and Independent candidates (23.5%). Following the elimination of the Independent candidates option, the Green Party led with 46.6% support, followed by the Democratic Party at 41.3%.
That... doesn't make sense? If you've eliminated all but 2 parties, they can't both be under 50%?
Also in the initial count of the IRV pilot, each group is reported to 2 decimal places, including write-ins, but the total only adds up to 98.54%.
Then in the exit poll, they talk about a second and third round of IRV, despite Obama winning the first round immediately with an 84% supermajority.
In the second round, Jill Stein led with 172 votes, or 47.9% of all those who listed at least two candidates on their ballot.
Do they mean "percentage of 2nd place preferences" instead of "2nd round"? Psephomancy (talk) 02:35, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- I tried contacting paerwg at gmail and politicsandelectoralreform at gmail, but no response. CES tried also. Psephomancy (talk) 04:35, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
