My suggested improvement to IRV, [[user:RalphInOttawa/Standard Vote]], has that CHANCE FOR APPEAL, in that the supporters of the first instant runoff’s runner-up are essentially given this opportunity with a second instant runoff. And the supporters of the first runoff winner get the same deal with a third instant runoff if they need it. The campaigning by opinion poll leaders would remain MORE POSITIVE because the voter’s order of preference can’t be changed between the instant runoffs. There is no forgiving and forgetting over what was said during a negative campaign.
