Alaska Measure 2 was a ballot initiative approved by voters in Alaska in 2020. The proposal switched Alaska's primary system to a "top-four_primary", a form of blanket primary promoted by FairVote. In this system, the top four candidates progress to the general election, which is conducted with ranked-choice voting. The initiative also requires additional disclosures of campaign financing.[1] The one office excluded from top-four primary is the election for the President of the United States, which continues to utilize primaries based on political party.
