Talk:Election-methods mailing list

Revision as of 05:24, 17 February 2019 by RobLa (talk | contribs) (Noting migration of page to electorama.com/em, and asking about new home for the links)

I reached this screen by clicking "discussion". I hope that this is a forum for discussing the mailing list. Starting today, when I try to reach the EM homepage, I instead get a list of advertisements.

I've just noticed that the text above says that typing in this space creates a page, so I'm probably writing in the Wiki. Whatever, as long as it might get read eventually, so that someone will find out that it isn't possible to reach the EM archives.

You did the right thing by writing here. It is indeed meant as a discussion area. I've locked the page for now. Once the wiki is more active and there are more folks to keep an eye out for vandals, we can unprotect this page. -- RobLa 21:07, 26 Apr 2005 (PDT)

Selecting Better People

Mike Ossipov or Board Manager

I'm interested in presenting and critiquing a method of improving the quality of people we select to represent us in our government.

Migration of this page back to electorama.com

I'd like to keep this page as a static page over at <https://electorama.com/em>. As part of making the migration, I wanted to clean up the dead links, because oh-my-god there were many. But here's a couple of live links that used to live here:

  • Rob LeGrand's ranked ballot voting methods page describes and evaluates several ranked ballot methods, including a very wide variety of Condorcet completion methods.
  • RangeVoting.org has a lot of information both about range voting and about other voting methods.

It looks like Legrand had just fixed the link back to his page. Rather than turning the new page into a list, I think this wiki is a better place for the links -- but just not on this particular page. Where should we link them from? -- RobLa (talk) 05:24, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
