Talk:Single-member district: Difference between revisions

(Is there a reason to have a different article name than its Wikipedia counterpart?)

Single winner system redirects here, but that also applies to mayors and governors and presidents who are not part of a body with multiple members — Psephomancy (talk) 16:11, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
: Any idea why it's called "single-member district" over on Wikipedia (and why it hasn't changed over there)? Is there a unique perspective that the Electowiki community brings to naming articles like this one? -- RobLa (talk) 21:07, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

:: There's nothing wrong with "single-member district" on either site. I'm just saying that there are many single-winner voting methods, and that they aren't only used to elect legislatures, so single winner system shouldn't redirect here. I'm not sure if Single-member district should be moved to single-winner voting method and broadened, or if part of it should be split out into a separate article, or what. — Psephomancy (talk) 00:38, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
