I've been thinking about both how [[w:MediaWiki|MediaWiki]] works, as well as how other wikis work as I've been structuring the [[Activism]] section (which, as you can see from the discussion over at [[:Category_talk:Advocacy]], could get renamed to "Advocacy"). My current bias is to build out a set of <nowiki>Activism/*</nowiki> subpages (e.g. [[Activism/Canada]], [[Activism/United States]], [[Activism/Mexico]], [[Activism/California]], [[Activism/Oregon]]) where the page name is prefixed by "<nowiki>Activism</nowiki>", and then we get to use MediaWiki's subpage functionality to get automatic navigation back to the parent [[Activism]] page. However, I'm a little unsure about how pedantic we want to be about maintaining a strict hierarchy (e.g., having [[Activism/North America/United States/Pacific/California]] instead of [[Activism/California]]. My bias there would be to keep it simple (and just have [[Activism/California]]. Thoughts? -- [[User:RobLa|RobLa]] ([[User talk:RobLa|talk]]) 20:52, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

I copied the contents of the [[Advocacy]] page to [[Electoral reform]], then better incorporated the links/etc into a clearer article. This page is the top of the "Advocacy" (or "Activism") hierarchy on this wiki, but perhaps the bulk of the content on this page can be redirected to [[electoral reform]] in some way. Subpage or namespace

I've been thinking about both how MediaWiki works, as well as how other wikis work as I've been structuring the Activism section (which, as you can see from the discussion over at Category_talk:Advocacy, could get renamed to "Advocacy"). My current bias is to build out a set of Activism/* subpages (e.g. Activism/Canada, Activism/United States, Activism/Mexico, Activism/California, Activism/Oregon) where the page name is prefixed by "Activism", and then we get to use MediaWiki's subpage functionality to get automatic navigation back to the parent Activism page. However, I'm a little unsure about how pedantic we want to be about maintaining a strict hierarchy (e.g., having Activism/North America/United States/Pacific/California instead of Activism/California. My bias there would be to keep it simple (and just have Activism/California. Thoughts? -- RobLa (talk) 20:52, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Electoral reform merge

I copied the contents of the Advocacy page to Electoral reform, then better incorporated the links/etc into a clearer article. This page is the top of the "Advocacy" (or "Activism") hierarchy on this wiki, but perhaps the bulk of the content on this page can be redirected to electoral reform in some way.
