Beat-the-plurality-winner vs BPW

I have some doubts about the name of this page now. While Stensholt explains that BPW stands for "Beat the Plurality Winner," I think it's open to interpretation whether that is actually the name of the method, as opposed to "BPW method". Hyphenation of the name would be an innovation as well. Beyond that, does this represent a precedent or a policy? I have a number of methods where the letters in the name do indeed stand for something, but I would not think that means that the shorter name can't be the "true" name. This wiki is filled with acronyms and initialisms that aren't defined on English Wikipedia. Hence why all of these methods will likely never get used by anyone other than in a simulation. I'm not sure it matters that much what the original author called it. "BPW" stands for "beat-the-plurality-winner", right? If that's the case, it seems appropriate to have the page title spelled out. Note that we can make "BPW method" redirect to "Beat-the-plurality-winner method", which would be my preferred way of handling matters. In fact, I think I'll just do that now. -- RobLa (talk) 05:05, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
