Welcome

Welcome, User:Dmehus! I see you're already have a very full Miraheze-global user page, which looks pretty spiffy. One way to see what I'm up to on this wiki is by reading User:RobLa/Journal, which is hopefully a little easier to read than Special:Contributions/RobLa. To see a letter I wrote just to you, see User:RobLa/Welcome  :-D . Err... well, the welcome note is what I write to everyone, but I'm glad you're here and making constructive suggestions already. Welcome! -- RobLa (talk) 07:34, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

@RobLa: Thanks for the reply. I've still got some more work to do on my global user page here on Miraheze (and it's a minor pain point on Miraheze-hosted wikis that opt to make the SocialProfile extension the default or only user page option as it doesn't work with GUPs). I'd also like to refine the one section of my global user page to include more information about me and my background, not just how I'm volunteering with Miraheze.
Looking at Electowiki:To do list, I'd be interested in trying to help out more on the maintenance side of this wiki, helping to get it back into fine operating form on the new domain name (and host), if you'd like. I'm not sure how much time I'd have for content writing, but can probably still help with categorizing pages and helping with the overall categorization scheme. On the maintenance side, I can take a look at the Citoid problem and try and fix (or at least find a suitable workaround to fix) the problem with pages imported showing as imported>username, import more useful templates (and categorize them properly!), and help with enabling Flow. In the last case, it looks like you've since got it enabled, which is good. Flow has some issues, to be sure, but overall, it's a shame it didn't find a lot of love on Wikipedia and Commons because, aside from the infinite scrolling pages, it's actually a really superior talk page system. Personally, I would love to see the day horribly ugly Twinkle warning templates are demised. Other than maybe obvious single-purpose and vandalism-only accounts, they're very unfriendly and unwelcoming to new users, even if they do offer the time saving of a personalized reply. :) Dmehus (talk) 01:17, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
